*SOLD* Gibson 1991 Rosewood J-185
*SOLD*
Rosewood J-185! Not only an awesome J-185 by any measure, it's also very unique, exhibiting aspects and appointments that are not typical of J-185s. We'll probably never see another one like it. Rosewood back and sides (they're usually maple, for many this is a welcome but rare upgrade), slightly shallower body for additional comfort, rounded V neck, old 00/banner-style bar bridge, unique fleur-de-lis inlay on the headstock, long (>25") scale length (they're usually 24.75")... we could stop here and it'd be a slam dunk winner, but then you play it ... WOW … it sounds absolutely phenomenal. Plenty of play wear, finish checking all over, scuffs and scratches, classic Gibson frets fat and solid. Plays great with clarity and mojo for days. "Matt Umanov Guitars" sticker on the head stock. It's been a total inspiration and joy to have in the shop; whoever gets this one will not be sorry. A true gem.
