1963 Fender Jazzmaster *SOLD*

A pre-CBS Fender with mojo to spare! Original 1972 Telecaster Deluxe pickups were installed in the mid-70's and the guitar was refinished. The SAME OWNER HAS HAD THIS INSTRUMENT SINCE 1976!

Just setup, adjusted and fret-leveled. Tons of life in this guitar!

From the owner:
"So the short version of the Jazzmaster is that my parents bought this
for me for Xmas 1976, honoring a commitment that if I stuck with
lessons(making progress on an old Stella acoustic) they would buy me
an electric.

My guitar teacher in NJ happened to have this available. As I progressed
through Jr. HS, I played my first gig with this at age 13 with my
neighborhood garage band.

After moving to CT, I joined another band performing an assortment
of art rock music(YES, Genesis, Kansas) along with some Beatles tunes.
The pics here from Dec. 1980 are us playing Twist & Shout and as the
lead singer and Rhythm guitarist, the only song I played lead on.
(The other guys in the band hated the Beatles)

After getting an LP Goldtop in 1981, I played less on the Fender
but always considered it my favorite axe.

After 48 years, I'm hoping the legacy continues with a new owner. "
